Evidence

Question

Something noticed or recorded before its interpretation has been established.
Reported Observation

An observation attributed to a source. It establishes what the source reported, not that the report is externally verified.
Verified Observation

An observation confirmed through evidence sufficient for the proposition stated. Verification remains bounded by method, source, and conditions.

Established Finding

A conclusion supported strongly enough for the stated scope under the declared evidence standards. New evidence can still limit, correct, or retire it.

A definition, boundary, classification rule, or evidence rule declared as controlling for this public category record. A category standard states how the record operates. It does not convert a non-empirical position into an empirical finding.
Classification

Status: Explanatory
A documented determination that a specific subject does or does not meet the category criteria. Classification establishes membership under the stated record. It does not establish efficacy, safety, ethics, or truth.
Interpretation
Type: Evidentiary distinction
Status: Explanatory
Meaning assigned to an observation, measurement, report, or model output. Interpretation can be reasoned and testable, but it must not be presented as direct detection without support.
